The Christian Faith
“We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord”
Who we are and what we believe begins, centers, and ends with Jesus. To tell you about us, we must first say something about Him.
In the spring of A.D. 30, outside the city of Jerusalem, this Jesus was publicly executed and buried by order of the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate. Days later, he was seen alive by over 500 eyewitnesses. They would go on to say the then-obscure God of the Jews—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—raised Jesus from death, body and all. They were convinced his rising vindicated everything Jesus said about himself, about the rest of the world, and about you and me.
This news has gone out for twenty centuries, calling a people together in every corner of the world. Including here. If it is true—and we believe it is—then it changes everything. It also raises some very important questions.
Who is Jesus?
What did he say and do?
Who is this God we’re talking about?
Why should any of this matter for you and me?
We believe these are the most important questions a person can ask. Their answer makes all the difference in the world. While there is so much we could write and so many places we could direct you for more information (like here), perhaps the best way to say what we need to, and for you to ask even more questions, is to take the daunting leap and have a conversation.
You’re also invited to visit us on a Sunday. Our main weekly gatherings are on Sundays at 9:30am. You can find more info about that here. You can find a full calendar for our services here.
